Extension, Midlothian

Location:

Midlothian

This project incorporated the removal of a small box/galley kitchen extension to a former mining cottage in Midlothian. Whilst having adequate bedroom provision as a result of a former attic conversion, the property lacked adequate living space to compliment the increased accommodation. D2 were engaged to design an extension to the rear of the house to incorporate a new open plan Kitchen, Dining and Living space. The works incorporated the removal of a large section of the existing external wall to form an open plan link between the Living and Dining space. The open plan layout allows the clients family to flourish in the new space and the resultant end product left the clients very satisfied.
